This week, from October 27-31, we hosted a crucial practical training session led by Expert Instructor Aylin Sevimel Şahin (Turkey). The session was vital for our faculty and students who are involved in delivering and receiving the specialized Jean Monnet Module.
The Methodological Nexus: Transferring Skills to DRG Law
The training sessions focused on "Testing, Assessment, and Evaluation" and "Digital Technology Use." While founded in academic language instruction, these skills are directly transferable to teaching specialized subjects like EU Disaster Law and Risk Governance frameworks:
- Digital Skills for Resilience: Mastering digital technology ensures that the dense legal frameworks (like the Union Civil Protection Mechanism - UCPM) can be shared through innovative, accessible, and resilient online materials. This guarantees educational continuity even during disruptions, a core element of societal resilience.
- Modern Assessment of Capacity: Training in modern assessment guarantees that students' understanding of nuanced legal concepts—such as the difference between prevention and preparedness—is evaluated fairly and comprehensively, thus measuring our actual capacity development.
This international exchange is essential for ensuring that the RiskGovEU module not only delivers high-level EU legal content but also uses advanced pedagogical practices to enhance professional competence and maximize the transfer of specialized knowledge to Central Asia.
